New American Farmers Cooperative

The New American Farmers Cooperative: The New American Farmers Cooperative was established in 2016 by a group of 9 refugee farmers transitioning to independence out of ORIS's farmer incubator program. Organizing as a cooperative has allowed the farmers to increase their efficiency and profitability thus leading to overall sustainability. Farmers represent the Somali-Bantu, Congolese, and Bhutanese communities. They bring rich agricultural experience from their countries of origin in addition to the experience they have gained while farming in the United States. New American Farmers Cooperative's plots are located in Dunbarton, NH.
