Greetings from Fresh Start Farms!

This week we have a plethora of end-of-summer veggies! Tomatoes are still here for a little while longer and we have greenhouse, plum, and cherry tomatoes available. The peppers are ripening and we have plenty of sweet peppers this week from Isho, Sidi & Isha.

Don’t miss a taste of the husk cherries from Asli, Hajiya’s hot peppers, and Khadija’s basil. Fadumo and Khamis have harvested the first few Butternut & Acorn squash of the season. From Edgewater Farm, we have their delicious cantaloupe, watermelons, fall raspberries, and broccoli!

New Prepared Foods!

We’ve got some new pre-made foods that are locally made, delicious, and perfect for that busy weeknight dinner!

Jaju’s Pierogis are made from scratch in Lynn, MA using simple ingredients that you’d find in your family’s pantry. Their recipes haven’t changed since their first days working on the kitchen table.

We have Sweet Potato & Caramelized Onion Pierogis made with slow-roasted sweet potatoes tossed with caramelized onions & spices. Wrapped in dough, it creates a simple but delicious balance of sweet and savory. Their Spinach and Feta Pierogis are a twist on a favorite combination. Sauteed spinach with garlic and onion is tossed with feta and farmer’s cheese mix. These are delicious fired! 

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough from The Bread Shed is locally made in Keene, NH. Made with 5 simple ingredients: wheat, olive oil, salt, honey and yeast, and no preservatives! 

Macaroni and Cheese from Joe’s Kitchen at Screamin’ Ridge Farm is handmade in Vermont with Grafton cheddar, elbow pasta, Vermont heavy cream and some secret ingredients to make it extra delicious. Super-fresh ingredients from nearby farms make this favorite extra flavorful.


Sherpa Food’s Vegan Chowmein, Vegan Fried Rice, Chicken Momos, Pork Momos, and Vegetable Momos are made in Burlington VT by a family food business with a mission to bring authentic Nepalese foods made with local, fresh, and natural ingredients to their customers.

Momos are the Nepalese versions of dumplings made as comfort food during special gatherings for guests. Served with Himalayan-style sauce, they make a terrific quick meal for when you don’t have time to cook but still want to eat a locally-made, delicious, and healthy meal!

The season is short, so be sure to stock up for canning, sauce or salsa making. We have flats of canning tomatoes as well as kits for salsa and sauce to make it quick and easy for you.

There is a blue tiny house on the farm that we use as a Self-Service Farm Stand. Your box will be in the house labeled with your name. Any milk, meat, or frozen products will be in a cooler which you will need to grab.

Robie Farm is a small family farm owned and operated on the banks of the Connecticut River in Piermont, NH. All of their chickens are humanely raised right on their farm in movable pens on pastures (as opposed to indoor confinement).
