Final Week of the Summer FarmShare!

We have reached our final week of the summer FarmShare and as they say, “that’s a wrap!” The Fresh Start Farmers endured very wet weather but persevered and worked hard to provide for the community, their families and friends. Fresh Start Farms wouldn’t be here without them! There were–and will be–plenty of ups and downs, and we are constantly learning from one another…but no matter what, there is always time to say Asante, or “thank you” in Swahili, which is just one of the many languages that some of the Fresh Start Farmers speak, in addition to Somali, Kiswahili, and Mai Mai.

This week we will also be saying goodbye to our assistant hub operations manager, Marta. Things are always in flux here at the food hub, but change makes way for new growth. We are looking forward to more staff growth this fall and are grateful to the entire team for their dedication to meeting each day and all that it holds.

Take our Survey and be entered to win a raffle!

We hope that you will take a few moments to complete our end-of-summer survey! Your feedback really helps us to improve the FarmShare for the seasons to come. Please complete this survey by Friday, October 6th to be entered into a raffle to win a fall-themed gift basket! We really appreciate all of your support this summer and we hope you will join us again for the fall FarmShare, or next season!
