Recipes

of the Week

Garlic Scapes!

What are these curly green things in my share? Garlic scapes grow from hardneck garlic bulbs and farmers trim them because they draw energy away from the forming bulbs. They taste sweet, like a chive or scallion, with a more mild garlicky zing.

Scapes are very versatile and can be used anywhere you might otherwise use garlic cloves or scallions. they can be sauteed, pureed, roasted, and pickled. They’re great in stir-fries, in omelets, frittatas, soups, and pureed into pesto, roasted with meat and vegetables, or grilled!

New!

Honey Mustard Mighty Pretzels, One Mighty Mill, Lynn, MA

Mighty Honey Mustard is a snacking unicorn because it’s big on flavor AND nutrition. One Mighty Mill stone-grinds organic wheat and bakes with simple, clean ingredients. They work with local farmers who grow organic wheat and then they mill the wheat berries on a hand-carved stone mill which helps retain the natural nutrients, fiber, and superior flavor.

As always, our products have everything you want and none of what you don’t:

  • No industrial flour
  • No preservatives
  • No high-fructose corn syrup
  • No chemical pesticides or herbicides
  • No GMOs

Why Fresh-Milling? For decades, most of the US’s pretzels have been made with cheap, overly-processed flour that’s been stripped of nutrients and engineered for industrial baking – not for health.
