Tomatoes are ripe and you get to enjoy the first tastes this week! Grab mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinegar and enjoy.

Also, green peppers have come in and will soon be here in force. Geen beans, cucumbers, zucchini, and summer squash continue to fill the fields. Alice has more of her beautiful broccoli and cauliflower.

The Boscawen farm continues to produce crazy amounts of blueberries! Plus this week we have the first tastes of local peaches, with more coming soon.

Lots of new products this week! New flavors of granola from Maple Nut Kitchen, Cranberry Iced Tea from Granny Squipp, 1lb Fresh Mozzarella from Narragansett, and Creamy Havarti from Smith Country Farm!

Meet your Farmers - Alice and Margaret from the Concord Farm
Alice Nyazahabu, Congo

“I want to own my own farm someday. I like to farm because I make good money and it helps my family. It helps me eat fresh food and saves money when buying food. I like to help other people eat healthy, too. My kids like to see how their mom farms, and it is fun for my kids on the farm.”

Margaret (Margarita) Manario, Burundi

“I like to farm because it helps me physically and emotionally.  I usually can’t wait when the snow is over so I can start working in the garden.  I also eat well when I have fresh organic vegetables and make money when I sell some of my crops.”
