We are happy to report that our first-ever winter pop-up market was a huge success! This past Tuesday, we loaded up our refrigerated van with fresh fruits and veggies and went to two sites that were on the Mobile Market’s route this past summer: the Crutchfield Apartments in Concord and the Henry J. Pariseau Apartments in Manchester. At this market, the residents were able to buy a selection of fresh fruits and veggies and get 50% off using their EBT cards. They also had the opportunity to sign-up for a weekly veggie box which will be delivered right to their door for the next month. Our goal with this program is to be able to continue residents’ access to fresh, healthy food throughout the winter months when the Mobile Market is NOT in operation. We were happily surprised by how many people stopped by to purchase fresh food, and we received a lot of positive feedback from the residents!  We are excited to do it again on March 14th!
