While the crops may not be growing yet, our Food Hub team is! We are so excited to have Savitri on board as our new Food Access Manager! She will be managing the Mobile Market this summer, as well as assisting with the Fresh Choice Program and overseeing the Community Ambassadors Program. Savitri earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut with a focus in community organizing, and is passionate about immigrant rights, climate justice, racial justice, and health equity. What can you look forward to in your FarmShares this week? Butternut squash, rutabaga, and beets from Harlow Farm from and swiss chard from Warner Farm, among many other root veggies and greens. Not to mention: treats from the Crust & Crumb! Stock up on loaves of honey oat, whole wheat, coffee cake, and cinnamon buns, which will keep wonderfully in your freezer until you’re ready to warm them up and enjoy them.

The Fiddlehead Tomme is a natural-rind cheese made from cow’s milk, cave-aged for over six months to create a semi-hard cheese, similar to Tomme de Savoie from the Haute-Savoie region on the Swiss border.
Boggy Meadow Farm is located in the rich, fertile farmland of the Connecticut River Valley in Walpole, NH. It has been in the same family since 1812, and strongly supports land conservation and the local community. They have worked closely with the Cheshire County Conservation District and the Monadnock Conservancy to preserve and maintain access to land on and near the farm.
Heiwa Tofu, made in Rockport, ME, is back in stock! It is handcrafted in small batches using organic, non-GMO soybeans grown on Maine and New England farms. This is a great vegetarian and vegan protein source, great for stir-fries, veggie tacos, breakfast burritos, and more!
